Re-creates the Group Homes for Persons with Developmental or Physical Disabilities Advisory Board with a termination date of July 1, 2010 under the Oklahoma Sunset Law.

Board composition includes nine members: eight appointed by the Director of Human Services (including representatives from community providers, United Cerebral Palsy of Oklahoma, the State Council on Developmental Disabilities, group home directors, and consumer advocates) and one member who is the State Fire Marshal or designee.

Board members serve three-year terms and are reimbursed for travel expenses but receive no compensation for services; the board must meet quarterly and elect a chair, vice-chair, and secretary annually.

Board duties include advising the Department of Human Services on development and improvement of group home services, reviewing and approving standards, evaluating departmental practices and procedures, and advising on implementation of nationally recognized accreditation standards.

Department of Human Services must provide clerical staff support and meeting space for the Advisory Board.
