ENGROSSED HOUSE BILL 1117 - Summary

• Amends 69 O.S. Section 1101 regarding state highway construction contracts.

• Requires contracts for projects exceeding 8 miles (non-surface treatment) or 20 miles (surface treatment only) to allow bidding on both sections and the whole project.

• Defines "surface treatment only" as projects addressing road surface without adding capacity or increasing structural integrity.

• Authorizes the Department to extend a contract up to 25% of the original project length at no greater than the contract unit price.
