University Hospitals Authority shall expend $5,000,000 from the University Hospitals Authority Disbursing Fund to provide a grant to the OU College of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology for education and research infrastructure development on the OU Health Sciences Center Campus.

Amends 63 O.S. 2001, Section 3221 to change language from "shall" to "may" regarding fund usage after July 1, 1998, allowing more flexibility in how the revolving fund operates.

After July 1, 2010, the principal and interest earned on the University Hospitals Authority Disbursing Fund may be expended for operation of the Authority and completion of its mission.

Legislature intends to restore the fund to its June 30, 2010 balance if the state resumes operations of any facilities previously operated by the Authority before a lease is executed.
