Amends 19 O.S. 2001, Section 547 regarding sheriff appointments, probationary periods, and deputy authority in counties with 500,000+ population

Clarifies that sheriffs may deputize municipal police officers through interlocal governmental agreements for combined law enforcement efforts, with municipal employers retaining liability

Authorizes sheriffs to enter mutual aid agreements under the Interlocal Cooperation Act allowing deputy sheriffs to enforce ordinances within municipalities and provide law enforcement services across jurisdictions

Specifies reserve deputy sheriffs must complete 160-hour basic police training and establishes monthly hour limits (140 hours for counties with 200,000+ population; 110 hours for smaller counties)
