Applies to large mobile home and RV parks: Requires owners of manufactured mobile home parks or recreational vehicle parks with 10+ units/lots to provide tenants with a shelter or evacuation plan for severe weather (tornadoes, high winds, floods).

Plan development and distribution: Parks must develop plans with assistance from local municipalities or county emergency management, and provide a copy to each tenant when the lease is signed.

Implementation timeline: Existing parks must have plans reviewed by March 1, 2011; new parks must have plans in place before opening. All plans require reevaluation every 5-7 years.

Liability protection: Provides immunity from liability for entities and individuals involved in creating or enforcing shelter/evacuation plans if acting in good faith and not due to willful/wanton negligence.

Effective date: November 1, 2010.
