Prohibits public transit drivers from using cellular telephones or electronic communication devices to write, send, or read text-based communications while operating a motor vehicle in motion on any Oklahoma street or highway

Violation constitutes a misdemeanor punishable by a $500 fine upon conviction

"Public transit driver" includes operators of public transit vehicles owned by the state, public trusts, counties, or municipalities; school bus drivers; and operators of locomotive engines, railway cars, or trains

Exempts railroads and railroad operating employees regulated by the Federal Railroad Administration from the law's requirements
