HB 3341 Summary

• Amends 21 O.S. § 1283 to expand firearm possession restrictions for convicted felons, persons under Department of Corrections supervision, adjudicated delinquent juveniles, and persons not lawfully present in the United States.

• Prohibits restricted individuals from possessing pistols, machine guns, sawed-off shotguns/rifles, and other dangerous firearms in their possession, vehicles, or residences.

• Allows restoration of firearm rights only for individuals previously convicted of nonviolent felonies who receive a full pardon and have no other unpardoned felony convictions.

• Creates a new felony offense (maximum $5,000 fine) for concealed handgun license holders who knowingly allow prohibited persons to possess firearms, with automatic license revocation after a hearing.

• Effective date: November 1, 2010.
