HB 3354 Summary

• Allows licensed individuals to carry handguns either concealed or unconcealed (previously limited to concealed carry only)

• Expands exceptions permitting judges and justices to carry firearms in state courthouses and the Capitol Complex, provided they have valid handgun licenses and appear on a list maintained by the Administrative Director of Courts

• Permits living history reenactment participants to carry firearms and weapons as part of historical depictions for entertainment or educational purposes

• Modifies handgun licensing procedures and terminology throughout the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act, replacing "concealed handgun license" with references allowing both concealed and unconcealed carry

• Effective November 1, 2010
