Proclaims the third full week of September 2010 as "Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Week" in Oklahoma.

Urges Oklahoma citizens to educate themselves about mitochondrial diseases and their impact on health and organ systems.

Encourages participation in and support of research, education, community activities and programs related to mitochondrial disease awareness.

Directs distribution of a copy of the resolution to the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.

Notes that mitochondrial diseases affect approximately one in four thousand children born annually in the United States and are often underdiagnosed due to symptoms mimicking other diseases.
