Declares the second week of May 2010 as Melanoma and Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Week in the state.

Urges all Oklahomans to seek information and take preventive measures regarding melanoma, including avoiding peak sun hours, wearing protective clothing, using sunscreen, and avoiding tanning beds.

Notes that melanoma is the fastest-growing cancer in the United States, with one American dying every 62 minutes and 1,123 Oklahomans diagnosed in 2007.

Directs distribution of the resolution to the American Cancer Society and the Oklahoma Cancer Control Network.
