HJR 1070 Summary

• Proposes a constitutional amendment to Section 1 of Article XIII-B regarding the Board of Regents of Oklahoma Colleges, changing the board from nine members including the State Superintendent of Public Instruction to nine appointed members.

• Removes the State Superintendent of Public Instruction from the Board effective January 1, 2011, and eliminates the requirement that one member come from each Congressional District.
