SB 1774 Summary

• Exempts Oklahoma residents and military personnel stationed in foreign countries from late registration penalties during active foreign assignment and for 90 days after assignment ends.

• Requires servicemembers or spouses to submit statement with vehicle registration application showing military assignment in foreign country and describing vehicle.

• Provides penalty assessment exemption from specified sections (1115, 1127, 1132, and 1151 of Title 47) for military personnel and spouses in foreign service.

• If registration not completed within 90 days after assignment ends, expiration date and penalty assessment period begin on day 91.

• Effective November 1, 2010.
