Oklahoma residents who are members of the Armed Forces, Reserve Corps, or Oklahoma National Guard stationed outside the state on official assignment are exempt from late registration penalties ($1/day up to $100) for the duration of the assignment plus 60 days after it ends

If vehicle registration is not completed by the 61st day after the military assignment ends, penalties begin accruing from that date forward

To qualify for the exemption, the servicemember or spouse must submit a signed statement with the registration application showing vehicle description, legal residence, and proof of active duty assignment at a named location outside Oklahoma

The statement must be certified by a proper officer of the military organization, or if submitted by a spouse of a servicemember serving outside the state, signed under penalty of perjury
