SB 2026 Summary

• Amends 40 O.S. Section 2-404.2 to clarify provisions regarding employment for limited duration of time

• When employer specifies duration: worker is laid off due to lack of work at end of time period (not subject to disqualification)

• When worker specifies duration: worker is considered to have voluntarily quit at end of time period

• Changes punctuation from commas to semicolons and removes redundant language ("that") for clarification

• Effective July 1, 2010, with emergency clause making it effective upon passage and approval
