SB 2049 Summary

• Requires all insurers transmitting health insurance in Oklahoma, state agencies, and insurance trusts to accept the uniform health insurance claim form promulgated by the Insurance Department.

• Allows insurers to continue requesting additional information from claimants or providers as needed for proper claim processing.

• Directs the Insurance Department to prescribe a format for electronic transmission or submission of claims for payment.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2010.
