Senate Bill 2059 Summary

• Amends 70 O.S. 2001, Section 5-106 to clarify a statutory reference from "Section 4" to "Section 5-106A" regarding superintendent contracts.

• Allows two or more school districts to contract with a single superintendent to serve multiple districts simultaneously.

• Permits school districts with fewer than 500 students in average daily membership (ADM) to allow a superintendent to serve simultaneously as a principal.

• Maintains that the chief executive officer of school districts with public developmental research schools shall be the director of that school as specified in Section 1210.577.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2010.
