SB2144 Summary

• Amends 10 O.S. 2001, Section 7110 to clarify language regarding multidisciplinary child abuse teams that are coordinated by district attorneys in each county or contiguous group of counties.

• Specifies that the lead agency for multidisciplinary child abuse teams shall be chosen by team members and clarifies the team's mandate to intervene in reports of child sexual abuse, physical abuse, or neglect.

• Establishes three classifications for child advocacy centers based on child population: nonurban (under 60,000), midlevel nonurban (60,000 or more, excluding Oklahoma and Tulsa Counties), and urban (Oklahoma and Tulsa Counties).

• Requires multidisciplinary teams and child advocacy centers to have full access to Department service, treatment plan, and personal data directly related to implementing the statute.

• Effective date: November 1, 2010.
