Creates the Task Force on Standardization of Courtroom Security Procedures, effective until November 30, 2010, to develop statewide protocol for courthouse security.

Task force duties include reviewing security systems in state and federal courthouses, identifying problems and best practices, and developing either a unified statewide system or standardized procedures for county courthouses.

Membership consists of four members: chairs of Senate and House Judiciary Committees, the principal Senate author (Sparks), and the principal House author (Jordan).

Members receive no compensation but are reimbursed for necessary travel expenses; staff support provided by the Administrative Director of the Courts and legislative staffs.

Task force must submit findings and recommendations to the President Pro Tempore and Speaker prior to November 30, 2010; act takes effect immediately upon passage and approval.
