OK SB2201

Amends 58 O.S. 2001, Section 931 to authorize administrators, executors, and guardians to enter into contracts with companies for construction and operation of wind energy conversion systems on estate property.

Allows administrators, executors, and guardians to sell easements for wind energy conversion systems across lands belonging to estates of deceased persons, minors, and incompetent persons on reasonable terms.

Amends 58 O.S. 2001, Section 961 to permit leasing of property used for wind energy conversion for up to 15 years with district court approval.

Requires court approval and allows heirs, devisees, legatees, and next of kin to be heard regarding proposed wind energy leases of estate property.

Effective date is November 1, 2010.
