Senate Bill 2205 Summary

• Adds a new "food market license" for beer and wine sales in counties with populations exceeding 300,000 where individual-drink sales are authorized

• Permits food market licensees to sell only beer and wine in original retail packages for off-premises consumption at room temperature or chilled

• Requires food market premises to be inspected and approved by the Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement (ABLE) Commission with demonstrated protections against underage consumption

• Prohibits food market licensees from owning interests in package stores or wholesale businesses, and makes it unlawful for employees to remove beer or wine for resale or delivery
