Amends 25 O.S. 2001, Section 111, which specifies provisions applicable to newspaper owners in military service during wartime or national emergency.

Changes gender-specific pronouns from "his" to "his or her" in references to owners, heirs, and assigns to make the statute gender neutral.

Applies protections to newspaper owners or principal owners during service in the Armed Forces of the United States, including the period six months after hostilities end or during a declared national emergency.

Effective date: November 1, 2010.
