Bill Summary: SB2263

• Amends 21 O.S. Section 1021 to make indecent exposure statute language gender neutral by changing "his" to "his or her" when describing exposure of person or genitals.

• Adds provision exempting persons charged with public urination from Sex Offenders Registration Act requirements, requiring prosecution instead under Section 22 of Title 21.

• Maintains existing felony penalties: $500-$20,000 fine and/or 30 days to 10 years imprisonment for indecent exposure and related offenses involving obscene materials or child pornography.

• Preserves enhanced sentencing for offenses involving minors: 10-30 years imprisonment, or 25 years minimum if victim is under 12 years old.

• Effective date: November 1, 2010.
