Changes gender-specific language ("his") to gender-neutral language ("his or her") in the statute governing assistant juvenile officer compensation in eligible counties.

Applies to counties with populations between 24,000 and 40,000 containing a city of at least 20,000 residents that already employ a juvenile officer.

Assistant juvenile officer position may be appointed by an associate district judge with chief judge and county commissioner approval.

Establishes compensation limit of $6,000 annually, paid monthly but not from court or state appropriated funds.

Effective date: November 1, 2010.
