Amends 10 O.S. 2001, Section 1505a to make language gender-neutral regarding assistant juvenile officers in counties with specific population requirements.

Applies to counties with populations between 24,000 and 40,000 that contain a city with at least 20,000 residents and have a juvenile officer.

Allows an assistant juvenile officer to be appointed by order of the associate district judge with the chief judge's consent, with annual compensation not to exceed $6,000.

Requires salary to be paid by the county (not from court or state funds), with the amount determined by order of the chief judge upon concurrence of a majority of county commissioners.

Becomes effective November 1, 2010.
