SCR 65 Summary

• First Regular Session of the 53rd Oklahoma Legislature convenes January 4, 2011 at noon for organizational purposes, then recesses until February 7, 2011.

• Bills and joint resolutions must be requested for drafting by December 10, 2010, and introduced by January 20, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in the Senate and House.

• House of origin must pass bills by March 17, 2011; opposite house must pass by April 28, 2011; First Regular Session adjourns sine die by May 27, 2011.

• Second Regular Session convenes February 6, 2012, with bill drafting deadline of December 9, 2011 and introduction deadline of January 19, 2012 at 4:00 p.m.; Second Session adjourns sine die by May 25, 2012.

• Bills exempt from deadlines include agency rule disapprovals, statute consolidations, Ethics Commission rules, special/local laws with newspaper notice, and pension-related measures with actuarial analysis.
