Oklahoma State University Cross Country Team won the 2009 Big 12 Championship, Midwest Regional Championship, and NCAA National Championship titles.

OSU's 2009 NCAA Cross Country National Championship was the first for the program since 1954 and marks the 49th NCAA team title in school history across all sports.

Coach Dave Smith was named Big 12, Midwest Regional, and National Cross Country Coach of the Year for 2009, his second consecutive Big 12 Coach of the Year award.

Three team members—senior Ryan Vail and sophomores Colby Lowe and German Fernandez—earned Cross Country All-Academic Team honors with minimum 3.25 grade point averages while finishing in the top 10 percent at their respective NCAA Regional meets.

The Oklahoma State Senate congratulates the team and coach, and directs distribution of this resolution to Dave Smith, OSU Director of Track and Field and Cross Country.
