Welcomes Greg Mortenson, author of "Three Cups of Tea" and leader of the Central Asia Institute, to Oklahoma for his April 22, 2010 public lecture at the University of Oklahoma College of Engineering.

Honors the Pennies for Peace service-learning program, which encourages students to collect pennies to fund educational initiatives in Pakistan and Afghanistan through the Central Asia Institute.

Recognizes that the Central Asia Institute has established more than 130 schools over 16 years, primarily for girls in remote regions of Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Commends Oklahoma sponsors of Pennies for Peace, particularly Co-Chairs Mary Francis and Brenda Wheelock, for supporting Mortenson's visit and encouraging Oklahoma schools, faith groups, and youth organizations to participate in fundraising campaigns.

Directs distribution of the resolution to Greg Mortenson and the Oklahoma Co-Chairs of Pennies for Peace.
