Amends 10 O.S. 2001, Section 1505a to allow appointment of assistant juvenile officers in Oklahoma counties with populations between 24,000 and 40,000 that contain a city with at least 20,000 residents.

Assistant juvenile officer position requires appointment by an associate district judge with consent of the chief judge of the judicial district.

Assistant juvenile officer compensation capped at $6,000 annually, paid monthly, with funding from county sources rather than court or state appropriated funds.

Salary amount determined by order of the chief judge with concurrence of a majority of county commissioners.

Bill becomes effective November 1, 2011.
