HB 1459 Summary

• Modifies requirements for information displayed on Oklahoma driver licenses and identification cards issued by the Department of Public Safety.

• Allows driver licenses to display either the full legal name, or alternatively the first name and last name, or the middle name and last name of the applicant.

• Requires that when both a driver license and identification card are issued to the same person, the information on both documents must be identical unless otherwise provided by law.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2011.
