First responders who photograph or video record accident scenes using personal electronic devices while on duty and share those images without prior written authorization from their employer commit a misdemeanor

Penalties include up to one year in county jail, a fine of at least $1,000, or both imprisonment and fine

"First responder" is defined as state and local law enforcement, fire department personnel, and emergency medical personnel who are first to arrive at an incident scene

The prohibition applies specifically to dissemination, distribution, or disclosure of images/video to another person without employer authorization
