Bill Summary

• Amends 19 O.S. 2001, Section 326 regarding county commissioner meetings and procedures.

• Clarifies that county commissioners must meet monthly at the county courthouse and may recess or adjourn meetings as needed, with sessions terminating by operation of law on the last business day of each month.

• Allows county commissioners to hold meetings at locations other than the county courthouse if beneficial to the public, provided meetings comply with the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act.

• Changes language from "such meetings" to "the meetings" in subsection B to improve clarity regarding public meeting requirements.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2011.
