HB 2114 Summary

• Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education must submit a report by January 1, 2012, to the Governor, legislative leaders, and education committee chairs regarding review of the higher education funding formula.

• The State Regents must form a committee of institutional presidents to provide input and work with them on reviewing and redesigning the funding formula.

• The report must include data on the impact of any redesigned formula on each institution and other data the State Regents deem relevant.

• The act is noncodified (temporary) and an emergency is declared to allow immediate implementation upon passage and approval.
