Summary of HJR 1021

• Proposes constitutional amendment to reduce Oklahoma House of Representatives from 101 seats to 93 districts and Oklahoma State Senate from 48 seats to 45 districts, effective starting with the 2015 legislative session

• Requires all legislative districts to conform to United States Constitution standards and applicable decisions of U.S. Supreme Court and federal courts regarding district boundaries and population requirements

• Repeals existing Sections 9A and 10A of Article V of Oklahoma Constitution and adds new Section 10B

• Includes specific ballot title language for voter approval/rejection referendum
