SB 188 Summary

• Amends the Interstate Compact for Juveniles Act (10A O.S. Section 2-9-110) regarding the State Council for Interstate Juvenile Supervision

• Directs the Board of Juvenile Affairs to appoint (rather than create) a State Council with required membership including representatives from legislative, judicial, and executive branches, victims groups, and the compact administrator

• Requires the Board of Juvenile Affairs to designate the compact administrator

• Establishes the State Council's duties to advise and assist the Board of Juvenile Affairs and compact administrator in developing policy on compact operations and procedures within Oklahoma

• Effective date: November 1, 2011
