SB 329 Summary

• Establishes a legislative requirement for the Oklahoma Legislature to conduct a comprehensive study of all state agencies with authority to regulate nursing homes.

• Study must determine whether multiple state agencies are duplicating regulatory authority over the same nursing home services.

• Study must assess whether the state Medicaid reimbursement rate paid to nursing homes is sufficient to comply with state and federal service requirements.

• Creates a new codified section in Title 63, Section 1-1953 of the Oklahoma Statutes to authorize and define the scope of this regulatory study.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2011.
