OK SB38

Amends Oklahoma Vehicle License and Registration Act (47 O.S. 2001, Sections 1102 and 1105) to add definitions and provisions related to motor vehicle certificates of title.

Defines "rebodied vehicle" as a vehicle assembled with a new body or major component (body, cab, frame, front/rear end clip) licensed by the original manufacturer, using original, new, or reconditioned parts, and not classified as salvage, rebuilt, or junked.

Increases the number of certificate of title types from seven to eight by adding "rebodied title" for rebodied vehicles, with specific design requirements identifying the original vehicle's year, make, and model plus notation that the vehicle was assembled with new manufacturer-licensed components.

Requires rebodied vehicle titles to display on the front: the year, make and model of the original vehicle and a statement reading "This vehicle has been assembled with new major components licensed by the original manufacturer."

Becomes effective November 1, 2011.
