Requires health benefit plans delivered or renewed in Oklahoma on or after January 1, 2012, to cover prescription eye drop renewals for covered individuals age 50 and older.

Coverage applies when renewal is requested within 30 days of either the original prescription distribution date or the last renewal distribution date, and the prescribing physician or optometrist has indicated additional quantities are needed.

Coverage is subject to the same annual deductibles, co-payments, and coinsurance limits as other covered benefits under the health plan.

Exempts policies issued to individuals, groups with 50 or fewer employees, and plans offered under the state Medicaid program.

Effective date: November 1, 2011.
