• Amends 76 O.S. 2001, Section 18 relating to limitations of actions against healthcare providers

• Changes reference from "this state" to "Oklahoma" in the statute regarding actions for damages against physicians, health care providers, and hospitals

• Maintains the two-year statute of limitations for medical malpractice actions from when plaintiff knew or should have known of the injury or condition

• Preserves the exception that minority or incompetency extends the limitation period when the cause of action arises

• Becomes effective November 1, 2011
