Amends Section 34.11.1 of the Oklahoma Statutes to delete outdated language regarding the appointment timeline for the Chief Information Officer (removes the January 1, 2010 deadline that is now obsolete).

Removes time-specific language that stated duties and authorities began "on the effective date of appointment," replacing it with permanent language so the Chief Information Officer's responsibilities remain in effect regardless of appointment timing.

Maintains all existing duties and authorities of the Chief Information Officer and the Information Services Division without substantive changes to their functions or responsibilities.

Becomes effective November 1, 2011.
