Changes the authority of certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) from operating "under supervision" to operating "in collaboration with" a medical doctor, osteopathic physician, podiatric physician, or dentist

Expands CRNAs' authority to order, select, obtain and administer legend drugs, Schedules II through V controlled substances, devices, and medical gases during perioperative or periobstetrical periods (removing previous restrictions limiting this only to specific anesthesia-related activities)

Defines "collaboration" as cooperative working relationship with physicians/dentists involving discussion of patient treatment and cooperation in health care delivery

Establishes continuing education requirements for CRNAs seeking drug authorization (15 units initially, 8 units biennial for renewal) in advanced pharmacology related to anesthesia administration

Updates the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Act to permit CRNAs to order, select, obtain and administer Schedules II through V controlled substances in collaboration with licensed physicians or dentists
