SB904 Summary

• Amends the Oklahoma Corrections Act of 1967 to allow the Director of the Department of Corrections to revoke the release of prisoners deported to the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement if they return to the United States illegally.

• Authorizes the Director to issue arrest warrants when there is reasonable suspicion that a deported prisoner has returned to the United States illegally and is not currently in custody.

• Requires that revoked prisoners serve the remainder of their originally imposed sentence and become ineligible for parole on the affected sentences.

• Applies only to prisoners who had served at least one-third of their total incarceration and were not convicted of certain serious offenses listed in Section 13.1 of Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2011.
