SB 937 Summary

• Amends 40 O.S. 2001, Section 175 regarding flooring requirements in steel-framed buildings during construction.

• Requires close plank flooring to be placed and maintained over spaces between girders or floor beams before additional stories are added to the building.

• Permits protected openings with hand railings at least 4 feet high through the temporary flooring to allow passage of workers and materials.

• Makes minor language modifications, replacing "said" with "the" in two instances.

• Effective date: November 1, 2011.
