HB1469 Summary

• Amends 19 O.S. 2001, Sections 401 and 401.1 to require the Administrative Office of the Courts to reimburse counties for all expenses incurred in providing district court facilities, including buildings, courtrooms, attendants, fuel, lights, and stationery.

• Modifies 20 O.S. 2001, Section 1304 to add utilities (telephone, gas, water, electricity) and other county buildings housing court operations to the list of reimbursable court fund expenses.

• Expands court fund expenditure categories to include rent for courtroom facilities both inside and outside the courthouse, and extends utilities reimbursement to cover areas beyond just the courthouse.

• Establishes that counties providing court facilities in cities designated as court division cities shall be reimbursed by the Administrative Office of the Courts for their costs.

• Effective date: November 1, 2011.
