OK HB1750

Prohibits public employees from coercing state employees to contribute money, time, or anything of value for political purposes, with violators subject to felony charges, fines up to $10,000, and up to 2 years imprisonment.

Expands definition of perjury to include public employees who knowingly provide false or misleading information to the Legislature, members of the Legislature, legislative committees, or legislative staff.

Prohibits retaliation by public employees or officials against employees or citizens for exercising political rights, participating in permitted political activities, or supporting/opposing proposed legislation.

Restricts governmental employees with licensing authority from coercing license applicants to contribute money or express political positions regarding legislation affecting the governmental entity or its employees.

Includes emergency clause and effective date of July 1, 2011.
