HB 2205 Summary

• Amends 63 O.S. 2011, Section 2-212 to add pseudoephedrine and pregabalin to Schedule V controlled substances

• Requires individuals purchasing pseudoephedrine products to present valid state-issued identification and sign a log documenting the transaction details including date, purchaser name, identification number, pharmacist/technician name, product name, and quantity

• Limits pseudoephedrine purchases to no more than 9 grams within any 30-day period, with exemption for prescription-dispensed quantities

• Prohibits individuals from purchasing pseudoephedrine for 72 hours following a failed validation when information submitted to the central repository does not meet validation requirements

• Effective date: November 1, 2012
