HB2209 Summary

• Authorizes county commissioners to offer a bounty of up to $10 per feral swine killed within their county.

• Requires applicants to present the lower jaw (including tusks if present) of the killed feral swine to the county clerk as proof.

• Requires applicants to file an affidavit with the county clerk stating the location and date of the kill, the killer's name, and that no other bounty has been received for that animal.

• Mandates the county commissioners' board count and destroy the lower jaws at their next regular meeting, then audit claims and authorize payment from county funds.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2012.
