HB 2256 Summary

• Amends 59 O.S. 2011, Section 1151.2 regarding the Roofing Contractor Registration Act by modifying the definition of "roofing contractor"

• Expands the roofing contractor definition to include commercial and residential roofing services for subcontractors and nonresident contractors, covering construction, installation, renovation, repair, maintenance, alteration, and waterproofing

• Clarifies that roofing contractor definition excludes demolition workers, cleanup workers, employees, day laborers, and contract laborers working under direct supervision, and general contractors whose subcontractors are properly registered

• Effective date: November 1, 2012
