HB 2459 Summary

• Amends 47 O.S. 2011, Section 7-600 to modify the definition of "Owner's policy" for motor vehicle liability insurance.

• Adds a provision prohibiting insurance policies from excluding liability or reducing liability amounts to any person because that person is also an insured under the policy.

• Adds a new definition of "Commercial auto coverage" meaning coverage provided under commercial auto, garage, or truckers coverage forms rated under commercial manuals or rating rules approved by the Insurance Department.

• Effective date: November 1, 2012.
