Creates the ACE/ACT Task Force on Preparing Students for College, effective until November 30, 2012, to study alignment between state testing under the Achieving Classroom Excellence Act and ACT testing to better prepare students for college.

Task Force consists of 9 members including the State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Chancellor of Higher Education, public school superintendent, university president, teacher, and five legislative committee chairs, with the House Common Education Committee chair as chair and Senate Education Committee chair as vice-chair.

Appointments must be made by July 15, 2012, with the first meeting held no later than August 1, 2012; members receive no compensation but are reimbursed for travel expenses according to legislative or state travel reimbursement rules.

Task Force must submit a report by November 30, 2012, to the Governor and legislative leadership with findings and recommendations for statutory or regulatory changes needed to prepare students for college.

Bill becomes effective July 1, 2012, with an emergency clause allowing immediate implementation.
