Requires any person responsible for a child's health, safety, or welfare to report the child's death to a physician, law enforcement officer, emergency medical provider, or coroner within 24 hours.

Establishes a misdemeanor penalty of up to 1 year imprisonment, a fine of up to $500, or both for failure to report a child's death in the required timeframe.

Exempts persons from this requirement if the child's death occurs while under the medical care and treatment of a licensed physician.

Defines "child" as any unmarried person under 18 years of age.

Declares an emergency, making the act effective immediately upon passage and approval.
